Style Codes
Older imported samples can stay Code Pending. Add a code only when a trusted Bulk Production match is confirmed or when the product next moves forward.
New coding system
MT + GENDER + YEAR + QUARTER + CATEGORY + SEQUENCE
Example: MTW273OW015 means MERTRA · Womens · 2027 · Q3 · Outerwear · design 015. Designers should never invent a code. Confirmed Bulk Production codes stay protected; older uncoded samples can move through the tracker as Code Pending.
Protected transition
Trusted codes only
The Bulk Production Tracker is the authority. Migration-created codes without a trustworthy source have been removed from active records and safely backed up. Those products now remain Code Pending until the correct code is known.
Imported operations records
Sample Ops needing a code
Link an imported row to an existing product family whenever it is the same design. Create a new code only for a genuinely new product. Resamples stay in their existing family and use the correct R number.
